For Craig and Dotty, a once steady and sensible couple, the economic fallout from the cost-of-living crisis that grips the country has left them one bill away from losing everything.

Once a solid couple who did everything together, Dotty feels increasingly alone as Craig internalises his own fears and insecurities. They both desire escape from their failing future but have different ways to survive in mind.

A chance meeting one evening after work leads Craig to make a decision that will shatter the life they knew as they step quietly into the underworld of organised crime. What begins as a short-term act of survival quickly spirals into a dangerous new existence ruled by shadows, secrets, and strangers who smile to their faces but parade around with knives behind their backs. As the stakes rise and loyalties blur, Dotty must navigate a world where one wrong move can cost far more than money. Caught up in her fear, and growing resentment of the situation Craig has walked them into will she realise that escaping hardship might cost them their sanity, their relationship and maybe their lives.
